POIRIER PRAISE FOR CLICK MY FINGER REMIXED

October 30, 2009. From the Jamaican dancehall to the Billboard chart, the infectious grooves of “Click My Finger” have rammed dance floors not to mention audio and video playlists worldwide with a combination of Erup’s signature easy going style and the dramatic bass driven Gearbox Riddim created by Steve and Adrian Locke. While everyone is feeling the energy, Truckback is proud to release Click My Finger – Remixed which will raise the vibes even further. Featuring world renowned remixers Grahmzilla, Poirier, Nick Catchdubs and Lunice, “Click My Finger” now includes crucial doses of Hip Hop, Electronica, Lazerbass and House to keep the party moving.

The first out of the studio is the wicked mix from Montreal’s bassiest beat maker, Poirier. Of course, the first to hear Poirier’s version were also the first to praise it…

“… a bombastic version… As soon as I heard the opening bars of evil house synths chopped into dancehall tempo, I hit my doopses at Truckback for the exclusive.” – Eddie Houghton/Fader Magazine

“Poirier strips away all traces of the Gearbox riddim so you can hear every click, yet still maintains the integrity of the groove. Big up yuh status Mr. GP… a job well done.” – Rob Kenner/Boomshots.com

“[Poirier's] version of Click Mi Finger sees him back where he operates best (hip hop tempo) with a stripped-back and broody club killer.” – Bruk Magazine

“Poirier’s mix (using the “Untrust” rhythm) brings his typically lazer sharp beats and synth stabs to bear on Erup’s vocal track which seem tailor made for this sound.” – David Dacks/Exclaim Magazine

Tracklisting:
1 Click My Finger (studio original) by Erup
2 Click My Finger (Grahmzilla remix)
3 Click My Finger (Poirier remix)
4 Click My Finger (Nick Catchdubs remix)
5 Click My Finger (Lunice remix)

Naya Records, an upstart indie label founded in Boston, MA and run by visionary label president and accomplished drummer/engineer/producer Nathan Sabanayagam, is proud to announce the release of “Grass Yard Productions Volume One”, the first installment of a series of compilations to be released over the next few years by Naya Records featuring the Grassyard Productions All-Stars (aka GYP All-Stars).

.

All of the songs on Grass Yard Productions Volume One were recorded on the front porch of legendary guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith, known for his role as lead guitarist for his role in Bob Marley’s band as well as Peter Tosh and Innter Circle, to name a very short few. The most significant aspect of this release is the collaboration of several generations of musicians from around the globe, all gathering to play in the relaxed and intimate environment known as the Grassyard (at Earl “Chinna” Smith’s Jamaican residence). The end result is an album that is chalk full of instant classics. These songs capture the true essence that is musical creation in Jamaica and some of the highlights include “Fire,” sung by Don I, “Shot Poor Johnny,” sung by Ken Bob, and the Ken Boothe track, ” Richard Cory.”
